A heat pump extracts heat from the air outside and brings it into the home using electricity. This means you get a bigger quantity of heat with less electrical power usage.

Heat pump installation cost
Our heat pumps start from £500 for a fixed price quote. For larger, more complex homes, they may cost more, but virtually all our quotes are less than the national average of £5,500. Both of these prices include the new government grant of £7,500.

How is my Fixed Price Quote calculated?

We generate your fixed price quote using the information you provide us when you request a quote and EPC data on your home from the national database. This allows us to generate, with a high degree of accuracy, the cost of a standard installation for your property.
If your home requires any non-standard work to make it heat pump ready (this is rare, but it happens from time to time) our team will let you know after your home survey.
How does your pricing compare to other installers?

90% of Octopus Energy heat pump quotes are below the UK average quote, which government publish monthly here. In July 2023 for example, the average UK heat pump cost was £13,065 before any grants, while 90% of our Octopus quotes cost less than this. When you factor in the new government grant that's a cost of £5,565.
